Policies
Reservation Policy
Bunkhouse, Campground, Equipment
A 50% deposit is required for all rental equipment and all bunkhouse and campground reservations. Payment may be made with cash, check, or credit card (Visa; Mastercard). Some deposits are not refundable; see the Cancellation Policy below.
Reservations for equipment will be held until noon of the intended rental day. The deposit will be dealt with per the Cancellation Policy if you don't show up.
Any balance will be paid upon arrival for the equipment, trip, bunkhouse, or campground rental.
A credit card is required to hold reservations for equipment, campground and bunkhouse.
The renters of equipment or of the bunkhouse and campground will be charged for any repairs or replacement of damaged or lost equipment (including boat rentals). Bunkhouse renters will be charged the cost of repair to the bunkhouse for any damages. A cleaning fee will be assessed for returning dirty equipment.
Rates and Late Fees
Equipment: Overnight rental rates are based on a 24-hour period. Equipment may be picked up between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm any day of the week. No refunds will be made because of weather, equipment returned early, or equipment rented but not used. Equipment returned late will be charged the daily rate plus a $10.00 late fee for every day that it is late.
Minimum number of participants for multi-day trips
Overnight trips require a minimum number of people. If this minimum is not reached 21 days prior to departure date, you are notified and given the option of 2 more weeks of waiting, transfer, or cancellation. In case of cancellation, participants receive a full refund.
Cancellation Policy
If a customer needs to cancel before arrival:
Campground, bunkhouse, kayak and charterboat trips, overnight camping trips, functions, boat and equipment rentals
Full refunds will be given for cancellations made by a customer at least 21 days prior to arrival date less a 15% processing fee or $25, whichever is greater.
If a customer wants to cancel because of the weather:
Campground, bunkhouse, kayak and charterboat trips, overnight camping trips, functions, boat and equipment rentals
Rain, fog, windy conditions and cold weather do not necessarily constitute a reason for cancellation or rescheduling. However, dangerous conditions such as high winds and/or lightning/thunder storms do constitute a reason for cancellation and may be fully refunded less the processing fee. Conditions will be determined dangerous at the discretion of Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, Inc. as they pertain to refunds.
There will be no refunds for deposits given for holidays:
Christmas, New Years, Memorial Weekend, July 4th, Labor Day, and Columbus Day. There are no refunds for early departures or early returns. See below.
Early Departure or Early Returns
Campground, bunkhouse, parking lot, rental equipment:
No refunds (including exchanges for merchandise in the store in lieu of a refund) are given to: Early Departure from camp site or bunkhouse; Early Departure from parking lot; Early Returns of rental equipment.
Rescheduling
Charter Boat Trips, Kayak Trips, Functions, & Rentals:
In the event of a cancellation made by Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, Inc., best efforts will be made to reschedule. Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, Inc. reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any reservation at any time due to unforeseen or extenuating circumstances. Refunds for unforeseen or extenuating circumstances may be given at the discretion of Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, Inc. Customers can reschedule as long as Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, Inc. can accommodate the new reservation. Deposits will be credited to the new reservation. There is no fee for rescheduling.
Customer Reschedules :
If the customer wants to reschedule a rental (kayak, canoe, sailboat, bike, etc.), a boat trip, kayak trip, campsite, bunkhouse rental or function and we are able to accommodate them, a 1-week notice is required or they will lose their deposit.
Gift Certificates
No Cash Refunds
Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash by the customer.
Waiver and Release
You will be asked to read and sign the Waiver and Release Form upon arrival. You may print out the form and bring it with you to save time when you arrive at Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, Inc.

Medical Form
Medical information is required of all participants in a guided kayak trip, which is kept confidential by the Old Quarry staff. Your guide can offer you the best possible experience only if they know about any pertinent medical history. You'll be asked to fill out a Medical Form upon arrival, or you may print out the form and bring it with you to save time when you arrive at Old Quarry Ocean Adventures, Inc.
